Chris Simmonds si TBF mixeaza in La Mania

La Mania Club din Mamaia
Sambata 3 iulie, aveam un alt invitat de la Guesthouse Recordings (DJ Mes, Sneak, Gramophonedzie, Jay West ). La Mania anunta cu mandrie venirea lui Chris Simmonds, unul dintre cei mai talentati DJi, producatori si percutionisti ai stilului house.
Nascut in Londra, Chris provine dintr-o famile cu stranse legaturi muzicale, unchiul si fratele vitreg fiind unii dintre cei mai importanti jucatori de pe scena funk-ului englezesc in anii 80 (Hi-tension). La sfarsitul anilor 80, Chris putea fi gasit in spatele deck-urilor la Time Radio (Londra) amestecand stiluri ca soul, jazz si funk. Curand il cunoste pe cel ce-i va deveni prieten bun, Hack Smooth, alaturi de care se apuca de productii sub label-ul Wax Factory Productions, pe care le vor vinde direct din portbagajul masinii, acesta fiind unul dintre primele label-uri dance independente din UK.
Talentul sau a fost repede recunoscut, asa a ajuns ca in anii 90 sa lucreze cu Carl Cox, Colin Dale, Rocky (xpress 2), Rugged Vinyl si multi altii. Atunci si-a creat si primul sau label numit Baby Blue. In 1993 Chris descopera ca DJi de talie internationala ii promoveaza productiile si asa il intalneste pe Mike Huckaby in Detroit, scoate proiectul Chris Simmonds la Definitive Records, casa de productie a lui Richie Hawtin si devine directorul muzical al Cross Section Records.
Acestea fiind spuse, il asteptam cu mult entuziasm
